You've heard of Preggo-Brain, haven't you? For those of you who haven't... it's very common for pregnant women to get a bad case of the stupids, forgetfulness, lack of memory, can't add, etc. I've got it. Oh, I've got it bad.
Combine preggo-brain with driving and you've got.... Me! A little dangerous, but most people seem to look out for me pretty well and stay out of my way.
I was driving and my friend was in the passenger seat, our toddlers strapped down tight in the back and we were navigating around the streets and parking lots of an awesome shopping area. Look for cars? Shoot, I was trying to spot our next stop!
While I was driving, my friend whips out her iphone and gets online to post a message... here it is...
Mary is gonna KILL me!!! HELLLLLLLP! If I dont make it out alive tell my family I love them!! hahaha juuuust kidding! however preggo brain and driving are not a good mix! LoL Mary Gracie Bella and I are out and about shopping and just had lunch! we will update on our adventures when we get home!!! oh yeah and neer neer I got to rub the belly!!
I didn't kill my friend - not for lack of trying though. Cars should lookout for ME! Not the other way around, sheesh!
Conversation in the van went something like this:
Things I said: What? I stop? I don't? They stop? Oh, forget it, I'll just go. Which way am I going? Did you see that? That guy flipped me off! Oh, whoops, didn't see that one.
Things she said: AAAAAA! EEEEEEE! OMG! MARY!!!
The toddlers had a blast together! OMG they were hilarious!!! It was so fun watching them enjoy being together. We had such a nice day, we're gonna have to do it again! She offered to drive next time. I'm not worried though, I don't think you can actually get a ticket for DWP. You just have to pray a lot and get outa my way!

The Jimmy Box
We've unearthed it. The Jimmy Box.
We are "moving" without actually going anywhere. We have 4 bedrooms and a "bonus" room, which is a finished garage stall. We have always called that "the 3rd stall".
The 3rd stall has always been the teen hangout room. We filled it with computers, guitars, tv, playstation, movies, friends, neighbors etc. Once Katie got a laptop, she abandoned the 3rd stall and moved her guitar and herself up to her room leaving Lexie to take over. For the past year, the 3rd stall has been Lexie's lair. Well, Lexie has been bumped and my husband moved in. We gutted the room, washed the walls, shampooed the carpet (more than once) and he turned it into "The Man Room". A place for testosterone to linger in the air. He's so happy!
Hubby had an "office" which was really just a place for his crap and his computers and games, etc. It was a mess. He decided to move out of his office and into the family room. Boom, another mess of papers and computer stuff, and speakers and beer bottles. He is now moved out of the family room corner and the office and into his "Man Room". As soon as school starts up again, most of his papers and things will reproduce into unmanageable piles but I'm not too concerned with that, as he has his very own space and its out of sight.
The "office" is now Katie's bedroom. We cleared it out, washed walls and carpet, cleaned out the closet, and all that jazz. The room is now a nice bedroom. Her dear daddy bought her a huge dresser with mirror and a nightstand, and moved her Queen bed down there and gave her a tv too. All that furniture makes it a tight squeeze, but I figured that might be best since she'll have less room to toss her clothes on the floor. Less floor space = less mess? We'll see. She's very happy to be on the main floor. It's like moving away from the family a wee bit.
So, now we are gutting out Katie's ex-bedroom, which will become the bedroom for the younger set of princesses. Lordy the mess!!! That child had more crap tucked away in corners and underneath and behind and la la la. And the dust! Holy blanket of dust! I've got it empty now, just need to vacuum up the next layer of dust, paint the walls pink and shampoo the carpet. Cleaning out the teen bedroom was an adventure.
Getting under the layers of clothes, books, trinkets, blankets, old shoes, kitchen spoons and mystery items.... we found it. The Jimmy Box.
Jimmy was Katie's boyfriend for her last two years of high school. It was one of those cute little high school romances that rode its own roller coaster of happiness and sorrow. Toward the end, happiness was really a one-sided feeling. Jimmy was so happy and Katie was just annoyed. He usually looked like the happiest little boy on Christmas morning, and she usually looked like she'd love an excuse to run, Fast. Finally, it ended. And the Jimmy Box went to the back of the closet where it was soon buried.
The Jimmy Box is a wooden cabinet that Jimmy built for Katie. I remember when he gave it to her, his handicraft, work from his own hands, his pride made of wood. She smiled politely. She said Thanks. She wondered what the hell it was and what she'd do with it. He was grinning from ear to ear. She filled it with Jimmy souvenirs. Photos, movie ticket stubs, his hat, a drum key, that sort of thing.
And now we have unearthed the Jimmy Box. Katie said "oh yeah, my Jimmy Box. Lets just dump it in the trash". She had that same annoyed look on her face. It's a nice cabinet. Not sure what we'll do with it after we dump out the Jimmy stuff. Anyone out there in the market for a Jimmy box?

If A Photo Is Worth 1,000 Words.....
I uploaded 1,097 photos of our weekend at my Gramma's 100th Birthday Party! It took me a while, but I finally got it done. They are up and online. Yippee!
The photos are from 5 cameras. I had to sort and discard quit a few. Lots of duplicates and some fuzzy pictures. Probably from all the laughing. I didn't spend the whole weekend with a camera fused to my face. My mother did though.
I didn't add a link to the photos to our family website yet. We had an update from our host server which required a new password, darned if I know what it is. And I use a combination of Front Page and Picassa to update our site, which is just too complicated for my preggo brain right now. So, I used Picassa Web Albums and made 15 folders of photos sorted by event - Ta Da!!! It's done!
Now, I just need to catch up on scanning the baby's last photo shoot pictures - yay, more 3D ultrasound images!!!
I'm so behind on all this picture stuff. Having too much fun to spend sitting at the scanner.
In other news..... I went swimming yesterday. Ahhhhh, felt so wonderful!!! But when I got out, ugh, 20 pound belly felt so heavy!

Bloggers Unite!
The other day, I got together for the first time with my good friend Alicia. We've been online buddies for almost 3 years. It was great to meet her and her cutie-pie girls! Alicia and family are in San Diego on vacation so I hopped in the mom-mobile and ran out to meet her at Sea World. Fun Day!!!
We had five kids between us (I left one of mine at home). Here is a picture of most of us. My daughter Lexie took the picture and Alicia's daughter Ruby was on screaming duty. She wanted her blankie and she wanted it NOW! Ruby is two.
Our little families got along so great! It wasn't at all like a first time meeting. I felt like we'd done this many times before. It was awesome! Even the kids bonded right away! What a great day!
Love ya, Alicia!!! And the girls too!
