My Homework is DONE!

I think I'm all caught up on my homework! Well, mostly. Close enough to call it done. Wow! This never happens! Lucky for me, I've already read two of the books for my Fiction class. One I read 2 yrs ago and one I read this past summer. That class assigns a book a week and I'm two books ahead! Wooo Hoooo!!!

I am three movies behind in my Western Lit class. Isn't that weird? Western Literature class and all we do is watch movies.

This week the professors will all assign research papers, so the homework load will really pick up and I'll be busier than ever. And Monday (tomorrow) I have to give a presentation in my British Literature class, so that'll be behind me and done.

This feels great to have some idle time! All my reading is done!!!

Oh, and the schedule for next semester came out. I've picked out my classes but I will need to go to school 4 days a week instead of only 2. This presents a daycare problem, but we'll work it out.

My daughters both come home from school and tell me they have watched movies in their classes. Not the day before holiday break movies, but things like Saving Private Ryan and others that escape my faulty memory. I remember watching black and white films with little scratches and hairs wiggling and jerking across the screen. Some guy with an informative and serene voice narrating about the importance of some monk and his pea plants and what not. I only remember watching one 'real' movie all though school. It was a classic movie where a little boy raises a deer and then he had to shoot him in the end. Can't remember the name of it. OH! And we watched Donald Duck in Mathemagic land. Did you get to watch that? And I'm really rambling aren't I? I've totally forgotten my point, too.

My daughters watch movies at school too, in fact, my middle daughter who is still in high school said to me that if she has to watch Finding Nemo one more time in class she's going to just walk out and come home. Finding Nemo? *eyeroll head shake combination right here*

The movies I have to watch for my Western Lit class are assigned as homework, we don't watch them in class. It's just a joy trying to find these movies every week! Here's a partial list:

3:10 to Yuma (in the theater)
The Quick and the Dead
Tombstone
The Searchers
Stagecoach
The Good The Bad The Ugly
The Sons of Katie Elder
Shane
Rio Bravo
Pale Rider
Unforgiven
The Magnificent Seven
The Wild Bunch
The Man who Shot Liberty Valance

That is most of them ... plus we have optional movies too. The movies are a wide range of old and new. It's not a bad class, just ironic that we don't read in a literature class! *giggly snort*
