The Toxic Tonsils are Gone!

Princess Lexie had her tonsils removed this morning. The surgery went well and she did just fine. The doctor said her tonsils were pretty ugly. They were large and full of scars. He could tell they had been putting her through hell for many years. He got that right!

She's sleeping now. She got more drugs than a 90 year old. Lots of pain meds and some antibiotics. I loaded up the fridge and freezer with popsicles and jello. Got her some applesauce for when she's feeling more adventurous.

I'm so relieved it's over. I was a nervous mess but I was pretending to be calm, cool and collected. Not sure if I pulled off that charade, but I gave it a good try. I couldn't sleep last night so am exhausted now that it's all over. I'm super happy that she will be a healthier person! She deserves to be healthy since she rarely gets that chance.

Glad it's over. Lots of mommy snuggles for the princess! Hope she is feeling better soon, and you gotta be happy about the healthy days to come. :) Glad you survived the Mom in the patient waiting room. Did you wear any holes in the carpet from pacing? I'm sure you looked just like all the other nervous people in the waiting room, so no one could tell.

Oh I see how you work it--schedule a surgery for one of your kids just so you don't have to go to Brit Lit--very sly.

I'm glad she's okay. You're supposed to check out YouTube for entertaining poetry readings of the poems we have for Thursday. Do not however, YouTube search "Goblin Market." Apparently if you do you will be permanently blinded and then your head will explode!

Pudding is great too and scrambled eggs. That is what I fed DH for a week. He liked that stuff.

Glad that you made it through and hope that she is feeling better!! Hang in there Mary!!

I'm glad it all went well.. And then she gets to eat the idea diet!! popsicles.. (I'd blend up some greenbeans freeze it, and try to trick her.. But that's me.. Save it for a day, when she's cranky, and driving you crazy.) Green been popsicle.. Mmmmm.... Hopefully it will be a fast recovery.
