Got my Bewbies Back!!!

My boobs are Mine! Mine! Mine! Wow - boob freeeeeedom!!!

I haven't nursed the little princess since last Wednesday, 4am. That was 9 days ago. I believe 9 days qualifies as weaned! I am reclaiming the bewbies as my own! Well, sort of... I don't own much of my own body these days as there seems to be a fetus staking claims to most of it too.

Princess Gracie is 27 months old. I've been breastfeeding for 27 months. I've been bitten, cut by little teeth, woken during the night, yanked, pulled, pinched, exposed and just boob abused for 27 months. I'm very excited for this 3 month breastfeeding hiatus that I am beginning!

She is still asking though. I am done but she's still wishing she could nurse. She says "Where boo boo go?" "Happen?" "Stuck?" and "Peeeeeeez!" Totally heart breaking, but still.... I'm on a 9 day streak here, I can't cave now. The boobs belong to ME!

By the way, I'm investing in a pump and glass bottles for the next bambino.

Congratulations! I weaned Max when I was 4 months pregnant with Jessamine. I'd considered tandem nursing if it came to that, but decided I really just wanted my body back for a few months. Now I have to turn it over again, but then I get my boob job. Woo-hoo!

Oh my god--I can relate so much!! I breast fed both mine for one aand a half years. After i weaned them off i felt the same way you express here--but at the same time felt sad too! It was weird!
Congratulations on new ound freedom--well till the next one arrives! :)
Cheers

Relief!! lol.. Turtle was like 15 when I finally learned to break his heart.. (Not really but it seemed like it.) Miss Gracie was almost 2.. Claiming ownership of your boobs is a wonderfully exhilerating feeling.. I swear the last time I weaned (breaking her little heart, and defying her demands), I walked around for days, occasionally glancing at my boobs, and announcing out loud "They are Mine.. ALL Mine." I'm pretty sure I may have accidently done it in public, which would explaint the looks. lol.. Stay Strong.. Good Work..

Good luck with the haitus! I had to stop with Mister Man when I was pregnant with Little Miss because the doctor showed me how she wasn't growing as much as she should due to him getting all the nutrition. And I cut her off at 18 months last year in an attempt (successful, thank God!) to get her to sleep in past 4:45am. It's hard though, isn't it? You can do it!

Gosh that was hard when I finally said no to Nathan. It was great to have that freedom but heart wrenching at the same time. Totally understand!
